Sybil Smith was born in Townshend Vermont in 1954. She graduated from Middlebury College in 1977 and Pace University in 1981. She has worked as a nurse in Mississippi, Alaska, North Carolina and Vermont. She presently works as a psychiatric nurse at a Veteran's Hospital and lives in Vermont on the Connecticut River.
